How does this work?
Here is the process for placing special orders:
- Use the link listed under the paper description to see The Japanese Paper Place's page for the paper where you may see the color selection available.
- Choose colors (there is a five sheet minimum per color).
- Contact us, and let us know what you are interested in special ordering.
- We will contact The Japanese Paper Place (JPP) to make sure the color you want is in stock.
- We will contact you to let you know the availability of the paper and give you an estimate on when we expect to order it, and therefore, when you should expect to receive it. Your special order will be included with one of our normal orders. JPP ships once a week, and it takes a week for us to receive the shipment. In most cases, we should receive your special order in 2-6 weeks, but we’ll be able to give you a good idea of when to expect it when you place the order.
- We will send you a link to our Special Order Payment Page for you to fill in your payment information (credit card number, billing address, etc.).
- Once we receive your payment, we will attach your special order to our next outgoing order with JPP.
- We will notify you every step of the way (payment received, order placement with JPP, JPP order shipped to Paper Jade, Paper Jade ships special order).
- We typically ship Priority US Mail with Delivery Confirmation. If we need to send the tube via UPS due to size or shape, we will notify you.
Additional Notes
- Prices are subject to change due to currency fluctuations and fuel-related shipping costs charges.
- Availability is subject to change. For example, when JPP runs out of a color of Moriki Kozo, it can be a long time before they get more in. Sometimes they need to find an entirely new supplier to make it.
- We will happily have your to papers cut in half at no charge; anything more complicated would include a custom charge and require a quote from JPP.
